Unified Theory of Characteristic Modes—Part I: Fundamentals

چکیده
A unification of characteristic mode decomposition for all method-of-moment (MoM) formulations the field integral equations describing free-space scattering is derived. The work based on an algebraic link between impedance and transition matrices, latter which was used in early definitions modes uniquely defined scenarios. This also makes it possible to extend known application domain any other frequency-domain solver capable generating such as finite difference or element methods. formulation using a matrix allows induced currents scattered fields from arbitrarily shaped objects, providing high numerical dynamics increased stability, removing issue spurious modes, offering good control convergence. first part two-part article introduces entire theory, extensively discusses its properties, offers basic validation.

Brane World Astronomy I Unified Theory
Unified theories suggest that space is intrinsically 10 dimensional, even though everyday phenomena seem to take place in only 3 large dimensions. In “Brane World” models, matter and radiation are localized to a “brane” which has a thickness less than ≈ (TeV) in all but the usual three dimensions, while gravity propagates in additional dimensions, some of which may extend as far as submillimete...
متن کاملFundamentals of Media Theory
Media theory is a new branch of discrete applied mathematics originally developed in mid-nineties to deal with stochastic evolution of preference relations in political science and mathematical psychology. The theory focuses on a particular semigroup of ‘messages’ acting as transformations of a set of ‘states’, called a ‘medium’, whose axioms are both strong and natural. The term ‘medium’ stems...
متن کاملFundamentals of Control Theory
Control theory is the discipline that concerns itself with the response of dynamical systems to input. Control theory is a eld that spans both mathematics and engineering as it nds the vast majority of its applications while providing many complex problems as the topic of much mathematical research. Such problems often deal with questions such as stability, robustness (tolerance in variation of...

متن کاملDilatation structures I. Fundamentals
A dilatation structure is a concept in between a group and a differential structure. In this article we study fundamental properties of dilatation structures on metric spaces. This is a part of a series of papers which show that such a structure allows to do non-commutative analysis, in the sense of differential calculus, on a large class of metric spaces, some of them fractals. We also describ...
